A native of the Detroit area, who moved to Colorado in the early 80s, EC, as she is known on air, has been involved with community radio station KGNU for decades as a volunteer DJ, board member, and as music director.   A lifelong cyclist, she has worked on various transportation projects for the City of Boulder including the startup of the HOP shuttle, creating one of the city’s first websites dedicated to alternative transportation, issuing and managing EcoPasses, and reviewing accident data involving bicycles and pedestrians.   Elaine has a graduate degree in urban planning and is especially interested in county and regional transportation issues
