Seniors on Bikes June 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 (picnic) Join Seniors on Bikes for several rides of varying distance throughout June. With more than 60 members strong, Seniors on Bikes was founded by several local seniors who meet Wednesdays and Fridays for rides around Boulder County. These rides are open to the public. Tuesday Morning Hikers June 7, 14, 21 Meet each Tuesday morning in June in the parking lot north of the Boulder Social Security office, 4949 Pearl E. Circle, to car pool and hike. Bring adequate clothing, hiking gear, lunch and water. Each hiker reimburses the driver @ 10¢/mile. Walking Wednesdays with GO Boulder June 1, 8, 15, 22 Join GO Boulder every Wednesday at noon for a casual walk around Boulder. Co-Ed Fun Road Ride – Full Cycle June 4 Take part in an enjoyable, relaxing co-ed ride starting at Full Cycle, 1795 Pearl St., at 6 p.m. June 4. The ride will be about an hour long and have a moderate pace. All ages welcome.
Boulder by Bike Ride – B-360 June 5 As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, join B-360 for a fun ride for all ages. This event begins and ends at Scott Carpenter Park with a rolling start between 3 and 5 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and participants are welcome to a post-ride picnic. Community Cycles Summer Bike Sale June 11 Visit the Meadows Shopping Center at Foothills and Baseline from 10 am to 2 pm on June 11 to donate your old bike or find the perfect summer bike. There will be a kid’s bike rodeo, prizes, refreshments and a helmet fitting. You can also register your bike with Boulder police for free. Proceeds will benefit Community Cycles. This tour is an extravaganza of beer and film expression. The films, which are free to view, will visit more than a dozen cities, including Boulder for Walk & Bike Month. Annual Seniors on Bikes introductory ride and picnic June 24 There's no cost for this event, which starts from the East Boulder Rec Center. More information: SeniorsOnBikes@gmail.com or 303-494-2890. The SOB picnic is being "upgraded" this year to a broader menu thanks to the contribution of Peak Form Physical Therapy. There will be a group ride from the E. Boulder Rec Center at 8AM to Martin Park (via a circuitous route) for a 9am post-ride breakfast. Riders may optionally continue afterward to Eldorado Springs and return.
