Join the fun with more than 50 free bike rides, hikes, classes, free bike maintenance days, performances and fun activities. There is something for everyone including kids, seniors, families, people with disabilities and people who just want to get out and enjoy Boulder during the month of June.
And on June 25th- Bike to Work Day- a day of festivities are planned, including free breakfast at over 30 locations, the Egg-Less relay at lunchtime, and the Bike Shorts Film Festival after work. Don't forget to register (it's free at www.DRCOG.org)
Walk & Bike Month is about educating and trying to change behavior in a fun and smart way. It really is not about a day, week or month, it's about committing to reduce our dependency on cars and reaping all the benefits that walking or biking can entail – saving money, getting out to see the community, meeting your neighbors and staying fit. It is also about choosing the best way to get there for each trip. If you are just going less than a mile to the gym or the bank, try taking your bike instead of driving. It will be easier to park and more fun! And remember Boulder has more than 300 miles of award-winning and convenient bike and pedestrian facilities!
