Community Cycles is Boulder's non-profit community bike shop and advocacy organization. We emphasize bikes for transportation and get more people on bikes through hands-on programs, education and events. We advocate for safe cycling as the voice of Boulder County bicyclists. To support our programs, use our bike shop and tools, and your voice to ours. BECOME A MEMBER.
Each year we focus a couple of days on making our shop space more efficient. This year in observance of Martin Luther King Day we'll be hosting a day of service and paint, improve lighting, build shelves, install computer work stations and more. These improvements will help us get more people on bikes than ever before in 2012.
Help us reach our goal of raising $2,000 for supplies.
Community Cycles has many volunteer opportunities for you to help get bicycles out of the waste stream, teach bike mechanics, and encourage bike commuting and recreation. Some require bike mechanic skills, but many do not. If you have experience working with bikes, you can teach others doing our Earn-A-Bike program. Even knowing how to change a flat tire is enough to teach others and help us out with this program. Find Out How You Can Help.
Community Cycles is able to do what it does based on thousands of used bike and part donations from the Boulder community. These donations function as "text books" for people going through the Earn-A-Bike and other grassroots bicycle advocacy and outreach programs. Find Out How You Can Donate A Bike.
CC is now a Vehicles for Charity (VFC) affiliate. VFC is a national nonprofit that helps other nonprofit accept and process auto donations.
