Volunteer Orientations

Thursday, May 1st from 6-7pm

  • Please contact Community Cycles Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Braker at volunteer@communitycycles.org to sign up for a volunteer orientation.

Volunteer Orientations take palce twice a month, on the second Thursday at 6pm and the third Sunday at 10am.   Orientations are required for all new volunteers and are a great way to get familiar with Community Cycles' policies and procedures.

At your Orientation you will also take a tour of Community Cycles' shop and be introduced to our staff and different types of Volunteer Opportunities available.

People doing Earn-A-Bike, community service, or other programs that are not regualr volunteering do NOT need to come to these orientations.

You must be registered to attend a volunteer orientation.  If you cannot attend any of the regular scheduled orientations, please let us  know and we will do our best to accomodate your schedule. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please take a look at the volunteer main page.

Bike Mechanics Skills Session Training Program

This 5-week program is designed for people with basic to intermediate bike mechanics skills to further develop their abilities. Each session will be a different, specific topic with opportunities to learn vocabulary, tips, and skills, and have time to practice. When you finish each skills session, you will have a solid foundation of that aspect of bicycle maintenance.
